The facilities and maintenance department of Mooresville Schools is proud to serve dozens of acres of academic and athletic facilities over several campuses. Our dedicated staff handles routine maintenance as well as oversight of construction projects for our seven school buildings, our adult education facility, our education center, the technology building, the historic Newby Gym and Academy Building, and all of our athletic fields and buildings.
Mooresville has been honored for its facilities as the recipient of Leadership Award for Indoor Environmental Quality from both the Environmental Protection Agency and the International Association of School Business Officials. Our Integrated Pest Management program provides for the safest possible pest management and weed control procedures. Mooresville also adheres to high standards of Indoor Environmental Quality including enforcement of policies for vehicle idling, classroom pets, and chemicals in schools.
