Professional Learning Communities
Teachers at all Mooresville Schools take part in Professional Learning Communities each day before school. Instead of having a "staff in-service" day a few times each year, every morning teachers take part in workshops, cooperative lesson planning, and data analysis to share strategies that will provide interventions or enrichment for students who need differentiated learning. Especially in middle and high school, this is an opportunity for multiple teachers with the same student to discuss a common learning plan. Days are also allotted for parent-teacher conferences during this time. Learn more about the success of Professional Learning Communities nationwide.
