The Academy of Hoosier Heritage is a local history museum located in the frist Mooresville High School Building, now known as the Academy Building. The Museum is located on the second floor of the building at 250 N. Monroe St. in Mooresville, on the campus of Newby Memorial Elementary School.
The museum includes a one-room school, information and artifacts about Mooresville and Morgan County, and temporary exhibits. Our displays include primarily artifacts from the 1800s depicting Mooresville and area history. |

Our permanent exhibits include a pattern from the belongings of Indiana State Flag creator Paul Hadley, a Mooresville resident, as well as items from the home of Mooresville's founder Samuel Moore.
