Courses

At MHS our Social Studies department offers a wide variety of courses.  During freshmen year students are required to take US History with the focus being the time period post-Civil War to the present.  Sophomore year students are required to take World History where the focus will be ancient civilizations with a constant comparision between the then and now.  Both US History and World History offer honors sections that will help qualifying students prepare to take ACP US History their junior year for Indiana University credit.  All Mooresville students are required to take both Government and Economics.  Depending on a student's schedule Economics and Government may be taken during their junior or senior year.

Students may also take electives in Sociology, Psychology, and Law Education.
