Thank you for your interest in Mooresville Schools. Whether you are relocating here or already live in the area, we understand that the quality of education in our community is important to you. Our district includes four-star schools, one-to-one technology programs, several state and national champion groups, and much more. We're also excited to enhance learning through the award-winning Project Lead the Way STEM education program and our high school career programs.
Programs are available from preschool through advanced placement and college dual-credit coursework for high school students. You may also wish to Follow us on Twitter or Find us on Facebook to see more of the day-to-day activities at our schools. You can also Find us on YouTube for videos about district programs.
Parents of incoming kindergarten students should visit our Preparing for Kindergarten page, which includes information about taking that big step into school. Students who will turn age 5 by Aug. 1 are eligible for kindergarten.
COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT
The Little Pioneers Preschool Program serves children who have turned age 4 by Aug. 1. Learn about this full-day, community program.
NEW RESIDENT STUDENT ENROLLMENT
The Mooresville school district area includes Brown, Madison, and Harrison Townships as well as the Town of Mooresville in northern Morgan County, Indiana. Students residing in our district in our area may have 46158 (Mooresville), 46113 (Camby), or 46151 (Martinsville) addresses. Please check your actual township of residence as the zip code areas do not line up with school district boundaries. If you have moved into our district area, please complete the new resident student enrollment application and then contact your child's school to make an appointment to bring required enrollment paperwork (listed below) and visit the school.
More than 12% of Mooresville students choose to attend our schools even though they live outside the Mooresville area. Any students living outside the district who would like to attend Mooresville Schools in 2021-2022 will need to complete an Out of District Enrollment Application. Enrollment is open for in-school learning as well as virtual learning.
Out-of-district students must provide their own transportation. Please read additional information on the application form. We reserve the right to close any schools, grade levels or programs which have reached capacity. If you have any questions regarding your application, please call our Educaton Center at 317-831-0950. You'll get a letter of formal approval letter the first week of June.
OVERALL ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Completing an online application is not a guarantee of enrollment. Please be sure to follow up with your school to be sure your enrollment was complete and accepted. Several documents are needed for a new enrollment. You may either log in to Skyward to upload (view our document upload tutorial) or contact your school office to bring the documents in:
Student's Birth Certificate
Student's Shot Records
Two Proofs of Residency (mortgage, rent agreement, utility bill, etc.)
Parent/Guardian Driver's License or government-issued ID
Custody Paperwork or Court Documentation (if applicable)
If you have additional questions, please contact Holly Frye, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, via email or at 317-831-0950.
If you have additional questions about our schools after browsing our web site, please feel free to contact any of our schools (see school tabs above) directly or contact our Education Center for more information.
