Class of 2020 Recognition

Class of 2020 Recognition
Posted on 04/22/2020

Front EntranceWith input from senior class leaders and school administration, members of the Mooresville High School Class of 2020 will be honored in several unique ways due to the closure of school. These include:

  • Personalized yard signs for each graduate placed around MHS and later given to graduates
  • Social media spotlight posts for all seniors during May
  • Online Top 20 Banquet
  • Virtual Senior Awards Night
  • A permanent class recognition item at MHS (such as a bench)

Seniors are asked to read Dr. Disney's letter to the Class of 2020 and complete their senior survey in Skyward by Thursday, April 30. Please note that surveys may only be completed from official student accounts. Those who've received scholarships and awards from local organizations or colleges are asked to send that information to the school by April 30 as well.

MHS students have asked that graduation and the prom be postponed as long as possible in the hope that these can be held in person. We know that variations of these events will depend on what closures and large gathering guidelines are in place at the time. Please watch for more detailed information in the coming weeks.

Mooresville Education Foundation Fund LogoA fund for donations for senior class recognition is available through the Mooresville Schools Educational Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation of Morgan County, a registered 501©3. Click Here to make an Online Donation. Donations can also be mailed to the CFMC office at 11 W. Main St., Mooresville, IN 46158.

Funds raised will help with the cost of yard signs for every class member, a permanent Class of 2020 item for the MHS campus, and recognition events if we are able to host in-person events. Funds may also be used toward assistance for students who may not be able to afford caps and gowns, senior photos, or other needed items.
