Mooresville Families –

We would like to let you know about a situation at PHMS this morning.  A written threat was found in a restroom at the beginning of the school day. Police were notified and there is an investigation in progress. MHS and PHMS students were under a Code Yellow during first period class, meaning they were following their normal routine, staying in classrooms, and staff members are watching and listening for anything unusual. After further investigation and in cooperation with local police, we have concluded the Code Yellow at MHS/PHMS.

This investigation will continue. As always, we take these incidents very seriously and remind everyone that these incidents are subject to school discipline and legal prosecution.  We ask that parents please use this as an opportunity to talk with their students about the seriousness of making threats and to come forward with any information.

If anyone has information regarding this situation, please contact the Mooresville Police Department at 831-3434.  As always, thank you for your support of Mooresville Schools.

Sincerely,

Dr. David Marcotte

Superintendent
