Non-Resident Enrollment Open Now
At its March meeting, the Mooresville School board opened the enrollment period for students who reside outside of the Mooresville Schools area through May 30 for the 2014-2015 school year. Mooresville’s enrollment policy includes the following criteria:
- Non-resident families (the district includes Brown, Madison and Harrison Townships as well as the Town of Mooresville) must meet the application deadlines and provide their own transportation to and from school.
- There are openings for students at all grade levels although some buildings may have reached capacity in certain grades. Parents may request the elementary school they would like their child to attend but if building capacity is reach the family will have the option of a different elementary school.
- All families will be notified of their acceptance status by early June.
- Families who live outside of the Mooresville Schools area may find the Non-Resident Enrollment Form and informaiton on the “Prospective Students” tab of the school website.
Families needing additional information should contact Holly Frye, K-12 Curriculum and Instruction Director, for more information. All students who live outside of the district must complete re-enrollment paperwork each year to help with class and building capacity counts.
