Original Message:

This morning at Mooresville High School, a written threat against the building was found in a restroom prior to the start of school. Officials were able to search the building before students entered the school. Police were notified and there is an investigation in progress. Our MHS and PHMS students are under a Code Yellow at this time, meaning students are currently in first period classes, following their normal routine, and staff members are on a heightened alert.

This investigation will continue. As always, we take this information very seriously and remind everyone that these incidents are subject to school discipline and legal prosecution.

If anyone has information regarding this situation, please contact the Mooresville Police Department at 831-3434.  As always, thank you for your support of Mooresville Schools.
