Little Pioneers Preschool
Welcome to the Little Pioneers Preschool Program, an all-day community preschool for children at Waverly Elementary designed for children who have turned 4 before August 1st, 2019 and who are potty-trained. Our program will be academically-focused and play-based. The program is designed to prepare students for Kindergarten academics as well as instill a love of learning. There will be space for 20 students in each Pre-K classroom. The cost of the program allows a child to attend 5 full days a week.

Sign-up and Enrollment Process
Anyone interested in enrolling a student in the Little Pioneers Preschool Program should begin by completing the online sign-up form. The sign-up period will be open between Monday, April 1, 2019 and Friday, April 26, 2019. Students will be admitted into the program on a first-come, first-served basis based on the completion date of this form. Parents will be notified by Friday, May 3, 2019 if their child has been admitted into the program or if their child has been placed on the waiting list. Once a family has been notified that their child will be attending the preschool, the next step will be to complete the enrollment process and to pay the $25 non-refundable registration fee. In the event that additional space becomes available, families on the waiting list will be notified.
Additional care is available from 6:30-8:30 a.m. and/or 3:30-6:00 p.m. This service will be provided through REC&U. Information about REC&U enrollment will be included at the time of acceptance notification. To learn more about REC&U from the Mooresville Parks website.
The instructional part of the day will include curriculum based on the Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children from Birth to Age 5. The Indiana Department of Education has created a quick guide for parents about these standards.
